We have enjoyed our community conversations so much, that we have put together another interesting/exciting conversation with some particularly fascinating members who work with affect and leadership.
With decades of city leadership under their belts, Robert Kiely and David Limardi work as advisors to City Managers, applying affect to the unique challenge that is city government. Having learned Tomkins’s theory through their work with David and Daven Morrison, they have found the concepts invaluable to leading cities and will share reflections on how an understanding of the emotional system is especially needed in this time of political conflict.
At this gathering, we will have a structured and open dialogue about their experience with affect theory in this challenging context. We believe that this conversation will highlight new ways of thinking about and applying affect theory in critical life domains.
We open this conversation to members of the institute. If you are not a member, we hope you will join the institute and join our gathering.
The event will be on Zoom at 4:00 pm Saturday January 22 Eastern US Time, with our dear wish that our friends from around the world can make that time.
